BlazerRant 2 - Another Missed Opportunity...

50 miles southwest, the bomb goes off...

Now UAB needs to wait for the fall-out to clear. Too bad that never happends. Doug Secrest said it best last night on "The Zone".

"UAB seems to be happy to just be a football program. Nothing more."

UAB Administration may be happy to have one. But this is Alabama. Football is king here. It has been for years and will be for years to come. This should have been a time where UAB make a big splash by hiring a big name, like Rick Neuheisel, Jimbo Fisher, or even David Cutcliffe. But, alas, everyone at UAB has dragged their feet YET AGAIN and allowed "The Evil Empire" to overshadow what should have been a monumental turning point in UAB history.

Too bad, now we're a sidenote, once again.
